Underpinning of historic city wall for St Johns College.
Main Contractor Kingerlee Ltd. This project involved the underpinning of a historic wall as an enabling project for a major redevelopment of the site. The existing wall was approximately 1 metre thick in local stone and was approximately 3 metres high. We had to underpin approximately 90 linear metres and up to 3 metres in depth which was done in 1 metre increments. The project was completed in 8 weeks.
Basement construction in North Oxford for Oxford Homes.
This involved the construction of two large basements in a confined space in North Oxford for Oxford Homes, ref Henry Chopping.
